The Perot Museum TECH Truck will make a stop in Highland Park to kickoff summer reading. The event will take place on Friday, June 2 at 10:00 Prather Park, which is located across the street from the Highland Park Town Hall at the southeast corner of Drexel Drive and Euclid Avenue.  In the event of rain, the program will be moved to the HPDPS fire engine bay, 4700 Drexel Drive.

The TECH Truck will immerse youth in hands-on science, technology, engineering, art, and math (STEAM) experiences that build creativity and confidence. The event is free and open to children of all ages and their caregivers.

Children who wish to participate in the Summer Reading Club may register with the Highland Park Library in Prather Park the day of the event. Children unable to attend the kick-off event may register for the Summer Reading Club at the Highland Park Library. Registration starts June 2 and ends July 28. The Library is located at 4700 Drexel Drive and is open Tuesday through Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. There is no cost to register for the Summer Reading Club.

Throughout the summer the Library will host other Summer Reading Club events, which are generously sponsored by Christine McKenny and Dave Perry-Miller Real Estate.
