The Meadows School’s Ignite/Arts Dallas initiative, ATTPAC and Cara Mía Theatre Co. are co-presenting a touring version of WET: A DACAmented Journey, a true story of what it means to be an American in every sense of the word except one: on paper. Written and performed by Alex Alpharaoh, it chronicles one man’s ongoing story of living all but his first three months of life in the United States as an undocumented American. WET captures the precarious, red-tape-ravaged life that’s aptly nicknamed the “DREAMer” experience of those trying to realize their own American dream. This touring production was originally developed as part of the True Story program at Ensemble Studio Theatre/LA. Following its run in Dallas, the show will travel in succession to Austin, Chicago, West Hartford (Conn.), Denton (Texas) and Boston. The play contains strong language and will be performed in English. For tickets and more information, visit www.caramiatheatre.org.
