This solo and collaborative piano recital for the vivid imagination will open with Schumann's exquisite Scenes from Childhood, venture through Liszt's magical Concert Etudes: Forest Murmurs and Dance of the Gnomes, jazz-it-up with Variations, Op. 41 (1984) by Ukrainian-born composer, Nikolai Kapustin and conclude with one each of Rachmaninoff's uniquely passionate Preludes, Etudes, and his formidable Suite for Two Pianos, Op. 17 performed with Belarusian guest-artist faculty member Andrey Ponochevny.
