Dallas’s only live, movie-mocking comedy show is doing three of its hilarious movie riffs back to back to back this summer…and all of them are completely free!
La Cantera Arts Conservatory (1050 N. Westmoreland Road) and the Mocky Horror Picture Show are hosting three completely free movie riffs on the last Friday of May, June and July and they are kicking things off with one of the most insane movies they’ve ever mocked!
Starting at 8 pm on Friday, May 30th, Mocky Horror will riff on the 1992 film “The Lawnmower Man,” a bizarre sci-fi horror flick starring Pierce Brosnan as a scientist hellbent on using virtual reality technology to make humanity smarter. Unfortunately, he ends up creating a virtual god that could destroy the world as we know it. No one’s AOL connection will be safe!
Mocky Horror stars comedians Liz Barksdale, Danny Gallagher and Albie Robles making fun of a movie in a theater on the big screen. They also write and throw special prompts into the film so the audience can yell jokes and use props to make fun of the movie with them.
This live public mockery of “The Lawnmower Man” is completely free! Donations for the conservatory are still welcome (but not required to get in the show). Just RSVP for your seats now at eventbrite.com/e/mocky-horror-picture-show-riffs-the-lawnmower-man-tickets-1339141390949?aff=oddtdtcreator
