On Tuesday and Thursday mornings, Krishnaveni Gundu stands outside of the Harris County Jail (HCJ) and waits to talk to folks who are being released. She and her colleagues at the Texas Jail Project, a local nonprofit that advocates for incarcerated individuals, have been doing so for six months.
