HarborChase of the Park Cities, a community of luxury senior residences, is partnering with the Alzheimer’s Association to host a “Go Purple” fundraising event to raise money and awareness. The cocktail party will be held on Tuesday, July 10 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. and is open to the public. The senior living community (located at 5917 Sherry Lane) hopes to raise $1,000. This is one of several events the community participates in each year to raise money and awareness for the Alzheimer’s Association. Guests will enjoy music by Dallas-based musician Mike Perkins, as well as Thai chicken skewers, gourmet grilled sliders, an assortment of cheeses and the community’s signature cocktail, the purple dragon. They will be holding a silent auction with items donated from local businesses. All proceeds from the cocktail purchases and silent auction will benefit the Alzheimer’s Association. The community is raising awareness and money to help researchers find a cure for Alzheimer’s disease, the sixth leading cause of death in the United States. The cause is important to team members, as they care for residents living with Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia every day. The community offers energizing experiences and social events as well as generous amenities for assisted living and memory care residents. The event is free to attend, and guests are encouraged to dress business casual and wear purple. If you are interested in attending, please RSVP to (469) 904-1394.
