Join us as we honor our nation’s veterans and active-duty military on Saturday, Aug. 18 at the Frontiers of Flight Museum. The day is filled with military authors, speakers, and musical entertainment. Hear courageous stories from the jungles of Vietnam to the Global War on Terror.  Activities include a special pancake breakfast at 9:00 a.m. for  veterans, active-duty military, and immediate family. Opening ceremonies begin at 10:15 a.m. with the Lone Star Paralyzed Veterans of America Honor Guard present our Nation’s Colors. Special recognition to DFW Gold Star Families and  Museum volunteers who served in the U.S. military. Other featured presentations will include recognition of John “Lucky” Luckadoo’s service to our nation during WWII and his fellow veterans as co-founder of Happy Warriors, Lucky will receive the Museum’s prestigious 2018 George E. Haddaway Award.  Guests will also be captivated by discussions led by many decorated veterans and combat pilots including Daniel Flores, as he takes you into the cockpit of the AH-64 “Apache” flying combat missions in the Hindu Kush Mountains of Afghanistan. Visitors will also enjoy musical jazz performances and so much more!

All veterans and active-duty military receive free admission.  General admission is $7-$10.
