Event Description: The Dallas Symphony Orchestra League will celebrate past, present, and future ladies of “The League” at The Fashion Notes Luncheon and Style Show in the Venetian Room at the The Fairmont Dallas. The morning begins with a reception and silent auction followed by a live auction and fashion show topped off with a delicious luncheon. Over 70 years of service, education, and fundraising, the event will have an afternoon focusing on the women that make it all happen. Stunning fall fashions from Stanley Korshak will be featured on the catwalk modeled by strong, successful, and stylish contributors to our community. There will be Mother/Daughter dream teams, past and present DSOL Presidents, Debutantes, Assembly members, and the cutest League grandchildren, certain to be future DSOL supporters.

Honorary Co-Chairs: Dianne Etheredge has been a longtime supporter of the DSO and DSOL. She served on the board of the DSOL in many capacities and is a past President and past Presentation Ball Chair. Her daughter Meagan Etheredge Sells is a past debutante and was a representative to the Jewel Ball.

Fashion Notes Designer Award: Lela Rose, the Dallas raised, New York City-based fashion designer, will be the recipient of the Inaugural Fashion Notes Designer Award. Rose, a former DSOL debutante, is widely regarded for her elegant aesthetic and fresh point of view, and continues to redefine a sophisticated, yet modern lifestyle with her expanded, designer ready-to-wear-offering. Formally trained as a painter and sculptor prior to pursuing fashion design, Rose employs a brilliant use of color, rich fabrications, sculptural silhouettes and handcrafted details. Her artistic background is evident in her work and adds unexpected dimension and breadth to each season’s collection. Rose is now a published author and her first book, Prêt-à-Party, focuses on her love of style and entertaining products.

Event Chair: Amy Turner, community leader and dedicated philanthropist has shared countless hours of time, talents and treasure with our Dallas community.

As Chairman of DSOL Fashion Notes, Amy will lead the campaign in support of quality outreach programs benefiting children of all ages. Students will receive encouragement and gain self- confidence through concert attendance, music lessons and while participating in performance competitions ~ often receiving financial assistance.

As a mother and former middle school teacher in Highland Park ISD, Amy understands the importance of education and opening doors to all children served. Her leadership in the Junior League of Dallas, Crystal Charity Ball and Cattle Baron's Ball (among others) raises awareness and critical funds for children in need of all ages.

Benefiting: The proceeds from event will benefit the Dallas Symphony Association and its education and community outreach programs. Some of the quality outreach programs the League supports are: DSO on the Go, Community Concerts and Performances, Cecil and Ida Green Youth Concerts, Symphony Yes!, DSO Kids and Young Strings. A Sponsorship of the Red Violin Program provides a financial gift to the Dallas Symphony Orchestra Young Strings through the Innovators of the DSOL. Children are provided with the sponsored instrument and receive lessons and performance opportunities.
