Greater East Dallas Chamber of Commerce will host a luncheon on Tuesday, March 17 with a Mayoral/City Council Candidates Panel.  The program will be moderated by Gromer Jeffers of The Dallas Morning News and include candidates for council districts 9 and 10 and the Mayor's race. It will begin with check-in and networking at 11:30 a.m. with lunch and the program starting at 12:00 p.m. The program will be extended until 1:30 p.m. in order to provide adequate time for the candidates.

The event will be at the Lakewood Country Club, 1912 Abrams Road. Tickets are $30 for members and $35 for guests and are available at www.eastdallaschamber.com or 214-649-1773.

All the candidates have been invited to attend. Mayor Mike Rawlings has confirmed his attendance.

Candidates that have filed for the Mayors’s race are Mike Rawlings, 60 (incumbent); Marcos Ronquillo, 61, attorney; Richard Sheridan, 68; and
Lakolya London.

Candidates for District 9 are Darren Boruff, 47, corporate finance officer, ex-park board member; Mark Clayton, 42, insurance office owner; Christopher Jackson, 44, vice president of Wynne/Jackson, a development company; Will Logg, 62, magazine distributor, blues guitarist; Sam Merten, 38, spokesman at The Bridge homeless recovery center, former mayoral spokesman.

Candidates for District 10 are Adam McGough, 37, lawyer, former mayoral chief of staff; Paul Reyes, 40, lawyer, former Texas Senate staff member; James White, 58, programmer, salesman.
