The Dallas Symphony Orchestra League’s A Noteworthy Night on November 15 was a special evening in the hill top home of Mary McDermott Cook with libations, cuisine and an intimate musical performance by DSO musicians. Featured were Eunice Keem, Mariana Cottier-Bucco, Lydia Umlauf and Grace An. The quartet played the 3rd movement from Borodin's 2nd string quartet and the 4th movement of Dvorak's American string quartet.

Honorary Chairs were Fanchon and Howard Hallam and was chaired by Kim Jacobs Calloway. Lisa Loy Laughlin is the DSOL President.

Presenting Sponsor was Fanchon and Howard Hallam and Ben E. Keith Company Foundation.

Season Sponsor is Sidley Austin LLP.

The proceeds from event will benefit the Dallas Symphony Association and its education and community outreach programs. Some of the quality outreach programs the League supports are: DSO on the Go, Community Concerts and Performances, Cecil and Ida Green Youth Concerts, Symphony Yes!, DSO Kids and Young Strings. A Sponsorship of the Red Violin Program provides a financial gift to the Dallas Symphony Orchestra Young Strings through the Innovators of the DSOL. Children are provided with the sponsored instrument and receive lessons and performance.
