Bull-Luv-Able Paws and Chi Wawas pet rescue and The Pet Divas pet care service will co-host the first annual Dog Dayz Of Dallas Cinco de Mayo Style on May 5, 2018.  Held at White Rock Lake’s Flagpole Hill, the festival and fundraiser featuring pet adoptions, live music, contests and food trucks will run from 10 AM until 4 PM.

Over 55 local vendors, pet rescues and area shelters are expected to showcase their adoptable pets, wares and services. Dogs of all breeds and sizes will be ready to meet their future families.

Pets and their people can compete head to head in a variety of contests, including a “salsa eating” competition, a Pawrent and pup look-a- like contest and a Mexican jumping bean game. Proceeds from each game’s $5 entry fee will go towards a grant to be awarded to one of the participating rescue organizations. Event organizer Missy Redding said, “Our ‘Paw It Forward’ grant will be Bull-luv- able Paws’ way of giving back to a sister rescue that works hard all year long.”

Rounding out the day’s action-packed entertainment schedule will be live music from three artists with Dallas roots: The Voice season 11 contestant Josh Halverson, Brent Engel and Tori Sloan.
