Laura Tucker, Lead Designer for Magnolia Homes, will be a featured speaker for the 3rd Annual 4word Gala Divine Design 2019 Celebrating Women Empowerment. She was in Dallas recently and introduced at a reception held in the home of Lisa and Clay Cooley.  Each guest received an autographed copy of the book Magnolia Home in which her designs were featured. 

Susan Packard, Co-Founder and former COO of HGTV will also be a featured speaker for the gala. Both of these powerhouse women will share how their passion for design has shaped their careers. 

Laura was lead designer and project manager of renovations for all 5 seasons of Fixer Upper with Joanna Gaines and was the design lead on Magnolia Bakery and Magnolia Table.  She developed her design skills and talent within her first and current role with Magnolia.   

Proceeds from the gala will benefit 4word, a faith-based community who empowers and inspires women in the workplace through personal connection and mentoring.

The gala will be held on Saturday, March 2, 2019 at the Dallas Renaissance Hotel, 2222 North Stemmons Freeway. The evening begins at 6:00 p.m. with a reception and the gala will start at 7:00 p.m.

Honorary Chairs are Ka Cotter, Dorthy Miller Shore, and Dr. Kathryn Waldrep. The gala is chaired by Debbie Dillon. Diane Paddison is the founder of 4word.

Ka Cotter is active in CREW (Commercial Real Estate Women), International Womens Forum, NACD (National Association of Corporate Directors) and WCD (Women Corporate Directors). 

Dorthy Miller Shore
Dorthy Miller Shore is CEO, board chair and founder of PrimeWomen.com. Also founder and board chair of 34 year-old Miller Advertising Agency, the largest woman owned advertising agency in the U.S. She is a member of Park Cities Baptist Church and the International Women’s Forum. 

Dr. Kathryn Waldrep

Kathryn Waldrep is the founding partner of Vernon Waldrep OB-Gyn Associates where continues to practice as she has for the last 35 years.  She was elected at Medical City Dallas to serve as the first female Chief of Staff of a major market hospital in the nation.  She founded and serves as the Principal Investigator of Practice Research Organization which conducts women’s health studies.

Debbie Dillon is the Managing Director, Asset Management for McDowell Properties. She supervises asset management and construction management services across numerous markets.

Founder: Diane Paddison
