Steve Moore Receives Chamber’s Chairman’s Award

Steve Moore received the Chairman's Award for 2022 from the Greater East Dallas Chamber of Commerce at a luncheon hosted at the Lakewood Country Club on February 15. The Chairman’s Award is awarded annually for outstanding service to the East Dallas community. The criteria for selection includes Professional Experience, Contributions to the Chamber, Community Engagement, and Areas of Leadership. This year’s recipient has exhibited all of those attributes. When something needed to be done with the Chamber, he stepped up and offered to help. His focus and dedication to the local business community of East Dallas is second to none.

Steve is currently a member of the GEDCC Board of Directors. Steve is a regular face in community activities, ribbon cuttings, Happy Hours, board meetings, networking events, and constantly brings new innovative ideas to the Chamber.  Since joining the chamber in 2017 Steve has served as Chair of the Membership/Ambassadors where he grew membership to a record of over 300; led the implementation of a new website and mobile app, has co-led the Real Property committee while serving as on-site building management and heading initiatives to upgrade technology & infrastructure for the tenants, overseen a building refresh including parking lot resurface, roofing improvements, and facelift and landscape redesign. Finally, Steve led our group as Board Chairman navigating new waters and tumultuous times in 2020 and has most recently formed our new Technology Committee.

In addition to his work at the Chamber, Steve has also served on the St. Thomas Aquinas School Board as well as Boy Scout Troop 43 Leadership Committee, serving as Executive Officer and has been a key coordinator of his High School alumni association and U.S. reunion committees.

Steve’s day job is as the principal founder and owner of Total Reporting, a background & drug testing company that serves employers, landlords, and other industries. Additionally, he works full time as an IT consultant for various companies nationwide, specializing in infrastructure, help desk management, crisis prevention & risk management, procurement & contract management as well as project management.

Steve received his undergraduate degree from Texas Tech University and earned his MBA from the University of Phoenix. He has participated in multiple leadership & technical courses earning many IT accreditations throughout his career.

At home, Steve is most proud to be husband to wife Lauren and father to two teenage sons, Matthew and Charlie.
