Chamber Recognizes Six East Dallas Educators

The Greater East Dallas Chamber of Commerce named six Teacher of the Year recipients at their annual education luncheon held at St. John’s Episcopal School on Thursday, April 14. The purpose is to recognize educators K-12 who are providing outstanding education for their respective students. Recipients of this award must have made significant contributions toward innovative, unique and novel programs that are serving to improve and promote education. The awards were for public and private elementary, middle and high schools in the East Dallas area of Dallas. Each recipient received a $250 cash prize and each school represented received $250 as well.

The winners are: Kathryn Potter, St. John's Episcopal School; Cathia Arevalo, S. S. Conner Elementary; Tom Trautman, Bishop Lynch High School. Emily Reynosa, Lee McShan Elementary; Andrew Lyons, Alex W. Spence Middle School; and Tiffany You, Dallas Academy.
