The Dallas Symphony Orchestra League introduced the 2016-17 Debutantes during Announcement Weekend festivities June 3-5. The weekend marked the official start of a season of events culminating with the 31st Presentation Ball, which will be held February 18, 2017. 

Announcement Weekend began with the presentation party at Stanley Korshak on Friday evening, June 3. On Saturday, Stanley Korshak hosted a breakfast and fashion show featuring the gowns of designer Mackenzie Brittingham. It was followed by an afternoon Honor Guard and Deb mixer at the Bowen House. To conclude the weekend, Carolina Herrera hosted a fashion show and light lunch on Sunday.  

Presentation Ball Chair is Jolie Humphrey and DSOL President is Sandy Secor. Honorary Chairs are Harriett and Chuck Gibbs. 

The 2017 Debutantes are: Layne Anderson, Lauren Axmann, Grace Beal, Eva Blanton, Lilli Boren, Olivia Burnett, Haley Bush, McKenna Cook, Gabrielle Crank, Alicia Crenshaw, Caroline Downing, Marina Frattaroli, Perrin Griffin, Heather Hall, Madeline Hendrick, Caroline Jones, Ellie King, Catherine Kumpf, Abby Loncar, Caroline Magee, Cameron Malakoff, Ashlyn Matthews, Juliana McIlveene, Natalie Monger, Aspen Moraif, Elle Moritz, Molly Nelson, Caroline Pratt, Allison Rogers, Betsy Smith, Mary Leila Stillman, Bailey Turfitt, Georgia Ryan Tyler, Emily Vaughan, Isabel Yoder.  

The Presentation Ball, which was first held in 1987, is the largest fundraiser for the DSOL. Over $10 million has been raised for the Dallas Symphony Orchestra through the annual event, which was created with the vision of long-time League member Tincy Miller, who chaired the first ball. 

Founded in 1946, the mission of the DSOL is to support the Dallas Symphony Orchestra through service, education and fundraising activities. Since 1998 the League has contributed over $13 million in support of the Dallas Symphony Association’s Community Outreach and Education programs, which help bring the wonder of the Dallas Symphony Orchestra to thousands of youths and adults in the Dallas Metroplex.
