The 2016 POWER Rally presented by Dallas County Council of Republican Women (DCCRW).  This biennial event with the theme “Rally to Restore America” was chaired by Cindy Clendenen on Saturday, August 27.  POWER is the acronym for Power Of Women to Elect Republicans. Cindy and her committee felt the POWER and made this luncheon a sold out event.

The POWER Rally provided the opportunity for guests to meet and greet Republican elected officials and candidates.  Newly elected Dallas County Republican Party Chair, Phil Huffines gave a brief call to action.

Debbie Georgatos, host of the conservative talk radio show America, Can We Talk on 660 am, interviewed Dinesh D’Souza, best-selling author, filmmaker and political commentator, Dinesh D’Souza. His latest feature film “Hillary’s America: The Secret History of the Democratic Party” has quickly become 2016’s top-grossing documentary and will be released in October on DVD.  Dinesh is known for statement making documentaries delivering a jolt of controversy and his current film is no exception.  Dinesh’s wife, Debbie, spoke of her young life in Venezuela when it was much like America.  Today Venezuela is a Socialist country. She outlined how America is repeating the same policies that destroyed Venezuela.

Theresa Kosmoski, President of the Texas Federation of Republican Women (TFRW) presented DCCRW’s prestigious POWER award to Taffy Goldsmith for her many years of service and dedication to the Republican Party. With a loving husband and five children she managed to be active in John Tower’s election, act as the Young Republican Committeewoman from Texas, win designation as Outstanding Young Republican Woman, serve as Precinct chair in Lake Highlands for decades, manage Ray Hutchinson’s campaign, serve as Regional representative on Everett Dirksen’s National Right To Work Committee, serve as President of TFRW and Vice-Chair of the Dallas County Republican Party.  She is a POWER STAR!
