WHAT: The Annual 2020 Texans Can - Dallas Cares for Kids Golf Classic will be held at Las Colinas Country Club on October 5, 2020. This annual golf classic serves as one of the premier golf tournaments in the Dallas community, and it will provide resources to at-risk youth at a time when those resources are needed more than ever. Pro Football Hall of Famer Tim Brown joins the event again as Celebrity Host. 

WHO: Celebrating 35 years of providing the highest quality education for all students, Texans Can Academies are graduating thinkers. Texans Can Academies are aunique network of 14 dropout recovery schools located in Austin, Dallas, Fort Worth,Houston and San Antonio.  Texans Can Academies schools work with disadvantaged and at-risk youth statewide who have struggled in a traditional high school setting and would not otherwise have the chance at a diploma. The organization believes providing the highest quality education for all students is necessary in ensuring their economic independence.

WHY: All proceeds benefit students enrolled in the six Dallas-area Texans Can Academies schools. Every participant at the tournament provides solutions for the over 86% of Texans Can Academies students who live below the poverty line. Sponsorships and tickets help support students’ activities, emergency needs, and college and career readiness, all of which are vital to keeping students healthy, hopeful and honed in on completing their education.
