Texans Can Academy - Dallas Grant East students attended their first classes for the Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) program through Mountain View College to begin their nursing education.

At no cost to the students, the CNA program provides students with education in a state-of-the-art medical clinic environment. Students will be provided with lectures, skills lab and clinic experience. They will also receive hands-on experience and training throughout the seven-week program.

The program prepares students for a job as a CNA. CNAs provide basic patient care and typically work in clinics, hospitals, nursing homes or long-term facilities under the supervision of a registered nurse.

After completion of the program, students will take the state test to receive their CNA certification.
