Texans Can Academies’ Executive Director of Human Resources, Judith Aguilar, was honored with a 2019 La Cima Latina Leadership award in the Young Professional Leader category.

The La Cima Latina Leadership Luncheon is organized by Greater Dallas Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (GDHCC). The awards recognize and honor Latinas who have made significant and positive contributions to the community while establishing themselves as leaders advocating for Hispanics across the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Awards are given to local leaders in the following categories: Entrepreneur Leader, Corporate or Professional Services Leader, Government/Education Leader and Nonprofit Leader. Through the La Cima Latina Leadership awards, the CDHCC honors Latinas for their significant contributions and aims to empower them to continue making strides in their professional careers as both, corporate women and business owners.

Judith began her career with Texans Can Academies in 2008 as an Accounts Payable Clerk in the finance department. In 2013, she moved into the HR Department as the Staffing Specialist and is now currently the Executive Director of Human Resources. She earned a Bachelor’s Degree in General Studies from Texas A&M Commerce and is on the path to completing her Master of Business Administration from Concordia University Texas in May of 2020. She holds certifications with Texas Association of School Business Officials and American Association of School Personnel Administrators in Human Capital Management.

The awards luncheon took place Friday, November 8 at Forty50 in Addison.
