Whether you are wearing crimson or burnt orange, Sheraton Dallas Hotel has specials for both sides of the field during the weekend of the River River Showdown on October 7-9.

Since the University of Texas and Oklahoma University’s football teams compete in Dallas at the Cotton Bowl Stadium on Saturday, October 8, Sheraton Dallas Hotel is throwing specials for any Sooner or Longhorn to catch at the hotel for a win.

Sheraton Dallas is in Downtown Dallas and conveniently located across the street from the DART Rail Station, Pearl/Arts District. Guests of the hotel can park their car in the hotel’s large parking garage for the weekend and hop on the DART train to be dropped off right at the entrance of the fairgrounds to enter Cotton Bowl Stadium for the game.

The hotel’s three dining outlets are extending their hours and putting together a special for the big game. Draft Sports Bar & Lounge is the hotel’s sports restaurant and bar and a 4,000 square-foot sports nirvana featuring innovative cocktails, local craft beers, food from scratch, 25 flat screen HDTVs and vibrant music. Those that don’t have a ticket to the game can cheer on their team at Draft Sports Bar & Lounge.

Open Palette, the hotel’s signature restaurant and bar, will have live music Friday night, October 7.

Grab fresh bites to-go at Sheraton Dallas’ Open Mkt. including slices of pizza, local snacks, house-made baked goods, as well as bottles of wine, beer, sodas and other drinks to take with you on your way to the game, while you are exploring downtown, or to enjoy in your room. A pizza and soda special will be available for $18 which includes a pizza and four cans of soft drinks. Open Mkt. will be open until midnight on Friday, October 7 and Saturday, October 8.

Tailgating on Saturday? Open Palette and Open Mkt., both inside the hotel, will have Boomer Sooner Bloody Marys and Hook ‘Em Horns Margaritas available to order to-go on Saturday, October 8.
