Communities Foundation of Texas Professional Seminar to be Hosted May 10

Communities Foundation of Texas (CFT) is hosting its annual professional seminar in partnership with Southern Methodist University (SMU) on the morning of Tuesday, May 10. The seminar, held at CFT’s headquarters at 5500 Caruth Haven Lane, will begin with breakfast at 8:00 a.m.

Martin Hall from Ropes & Gray LLP will be the seminar’s keynote speaker. Hall became a partner at Ropes & Gray in 1994 and maintains a broad-based practice that includes charitable giving techniques. Additionally, Hall advises the development offices of numerous nonprofit organizations and is the trustee of many private and charitable trusts.

Hall’s practice focuses on wealth management, estate planning, trust and estate administration, and charitable giving. He’s a member of the American Bar Association and is a former Chair of the Tax Section’s Estate and Gift Taxes Committee. Hall has served as a distinguished speaker at charitable giving and estate planning programs across the nation.

“We’re thrilled to host Martin Hall to share insights with our local estate and tax experts, wealth managers, and financial planners,” said Carolyn Newham, CFT’s Senior Director of Donor Services and Donor Relations. “Martin’s expertise on charitable tools that benefit donors, owners, and families will be valuable to our attendees as they continue to expand their knowledge on tax-wise giving strategies.”
