The Hope Center, a nonprofit organization whose mission is to strengthen the impact of Christian nonprofits in North Texas and worldwide, will participate in the National Day of Prayer by hosting a special time of fellowship and prayer at its Plano campus at noon on May 5, 2016. An All-American hot dog lunch will be offered for a nominal charge at 11 a.m. The keynote speaker is Tommy Nelson, author and Senior Pastor at Denton Bible Church. The program will include other speakers from various segments of the North Texas community.

National Day of Prayer is an annual observance held on the first Thursday in May in the United States, inviting people of all faiths to pray for the nation. The bill establishing this day of prayer was unanimously passed by the United States Congress in 1952 and signed into law by President Harry S. Truman.

The Hope Center is a one-of-a-kind ministry home to over 40 Christian nonprofits. The 185,000 square foot lodge-style office building, built on 9-acres, is located at the northeast corner of Plano Parkway and Custer Road. The Hope Center’s unique business model encourages shared stewardship, synergy and service among its tenants. The building is home to some of the nation’s most well respected Christian nonprofits that collectively touch 123 Texas cities and counties and every country in the world, but three.
