Wee Can students trick-or-treating through the halls of Dallas Can Academy Ross Avenue campus

It was a busy Monday morning for the children at Wee Can Academy on Ross Avenue. Located on the campus of Dallas Can Academy, the early childhood development center is open to the community for children ages six weeks to 12 years old.

This year everyone from Spider Man to Elsa from Frozen came to celebrate Halloween. The preschool children got some trick-or-treating practice for the night ahead by migrating from classroom to classroom collecting coveted Halloween candy from students and teachers at the charter high school.

The Dallas Can Academy high school teachers and administrators, dressed as their favorite emojies, provided the candy and walked the preschoolers down the halls with the Wee Can care providers. High school students enjoyed the break from their classes to pass out candy to the costumed children.

After an exhausting morning of collecting candy the children mustered up the energy to enjoy lunch, however some of them couldn’t make it to nap time to fall asleep.
