For the past 21 years, Council for Life supporters have generously funded the important work of hundreds of life-affirming agencies. What an incredible joy and privilege it has been to serve God and the most vulnerable: the unborn child. We have much to celebrate, and yet our work is only just beginning. We need your continued partnership now more than ever!

With the 2022 overturn of Roe v. Wade, the need for our faith-based beneficiaries is greater than ever. These front-line pro-life organizations are experiencing a substantial increase in expenses due to higher demand from clients coupled with extraordinary inflation. In order to help meet these vital needs, Council for Life has prayerfully and joyfully committed to raise a record $1.35 million to support 27 stellar DFW beneficiaries and their life-changing work.

About our speaker

Eric Metaxas is the #1 New York Times bestselling author of Bonhoeffer, Martin Luther, If You Can Keep It, Amazing Grace, Miracles, Seven Men, and Seven Women. His books have been translated into twenty-five languages.

He is the host of the Eric Metaxas Radio Show, a two-hour daily nationally-syndicated radio program covering an intentionally wide variety of topics — it’s called “the Show about Everything” — airing on 300 stations, and heard as a podcast, and viewed on YouTube. The show also airs weekly on the TBN network. Metaxas’s guests have included innumerable authors, actors, musicians, athletes, scientists, comedians, political commentators, and faith leaders.

Metaxas speaks to thousands around the U.S. and internationally each year. In 2012 he was the featured speaker at the National Prayer Breakfast in Washington, D.C. He has been called a “photogenic, witty ambassador for faith in public life” by ABC News, and The Indianapolis Star has described him as “a Protestant version of William F. Buckley.” Princeton’s Dr. Robert P. George has called him “one of our nation’s most brilliant and morally serious public intellectuals.”

Metaxas is the founder and host of Socrates in the City, the acclaimed series of conversations on “life, God, and other small topics,” featuring Rabbi Sir Jonathan Sacks, Sir John Polkinghorne, Dame Alice von Hildebrand, Baroness Caroline Cox, Sir Roger Scruton, Dick Cavett, Malcolm Gladwell, Francis Collins, Ambassador Caroline Kennedy, and Peter Thiel.

He has appeared as a cultural commentator on CNN, MSNBC, and Fox News, and has been interviewed on the Today Show, Fox and Friends, and C-SPAN’s Q&A with Brian Lamb and In Depth with Peter Slen. He has been featured on NPR’s Morning Edition, All Things Considered, and many other radio programs and podcasts.

Eric’s commentaries, humor writing, and poetry have appeared in The Wall Street Journal, The New Yorker, The New York Times, The Atlantic, The Washington Post, National Review, and USA Today. His Wall Street Journal op-ed, “Science Increasingly Makes the Case for God” is the most popular and shared piece in the history of the newspaper.

Metaxas has written over 30 children’s books, including the bestsellers It’s Time to Sleep, My Love (illustrated by Nancy Tillman); Squanto and the Miracle of Thanksgiving; and God Made You Special (VeggieTales Books). He has also written video scripts and done voice-overs for the VeggieTales videos.

Metaxas is a Senior Fellow at Liberty University’s Falkirk Center. He lives in Manhattan with his wife and daughter.
