DALLAS: More than 370 businessmen and community leaders attended Council for Life’s “Men Stand for Life Breakfast” at the Dallas Country Club on Monday, February 24. The twelth annual breakfast featured a call to action to stand up for the truth surrounding abortion by Shawn Carney, international speaker, author and CEO, President and Founder of 40 Days for Life.

"When we decide that this is the defining moral issue of our time and for every generation until it ends, that’s when our world begins to change, that’s when our homes begin to change, that’s when our workplaces change and the little daily things that we do,” Shawn Carney boldly stated. “Because if we’re not standing up for life, heart and head, we simply can’t expect others to do it."

Longtime Council for Life supporters Rebecca and Bobby Lutz co-chaired the event. “We are so proud to chair this event because it creates the dialogue that life is not just a women’s issue. Rebecca and I are proud to be part of an organization that educates the community to shift that perception,” said Bobby Lutz. “We are so pleased and grateful to hear from Shawn Carney and hope it inspires the men in our community to stand up for every life.”

Council for Life will host it’s 11th Annual Run for Life 5K on April 11, 2020, at the Continental Bridge in Trinity Groves. Run proceeds will go to Buckner Children and Family Services, a local organization that champions the miracle of adoption. The family and pet friendly event includes food, music, the Easter Bunny and more. Visit www.councilforlife.org  for more information and to register for the event.
