(Dallas, TX): Due to COVID-19, Council for Life’s 2020 Run for Life 5K benefiting adoption on Easter Weekend has been canceled. But, you can still support adoption by participating as a Virtual Runner or Sponsor. 100% of Run proceeds will benefit Buckner Children and Family Services, a local organization committed to helping every child find hope and healing through family foster care, reunification with kin or the blessing of adoption. 

FAQs about a VIRTUAL RUN:

• SO JUST WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO BE A VIRTUAL RUNNER? Whatever you want it to be! It could mean sleeping in, making pancakes with the family OR YOU CAN REALLY DO A VIRTUAL RUN! (NOTE: If you previously registered for the Run for Life before we went Virtual, you automatically qualify as a Virtual Runner and DO NOT need to Re-Register!) 

• BUT HOW, WHEN & WHERE DO I VIRTUALLY RUN? You record your time, social distanced of course, and log your time on a link that CFL will provide all Run Registrants. You can do your Virtual Run anytime, anywhere between now and Easter Sunday, April 12!

• CAN I BE A VIRTUAL RUNNER WITH A FAMILY MEMBER, FRIEND OR PET? YES!! Virtually Running with family and friends, babies in strollers and/or your pets is highly encouraged and FUN! Form a Virtual Team if you like!

• SHOULD I CAPTURE MY VIRTUAL RUN WITH PICTURES AND VIDEOS? YES!! Inspire others with why you are supporting the beautiful cause of Adoption (whether it be your personal story or whatever the reason!) by POSTING your pictures and videos on social media platforms and TAGGING @CouncilforLife, #VirtualRunforLife and #adoptionoption

• WILL COUNCIL FOR LIFE AWARD PRIZES? YES!!CFL will award prizes for Best Virtual Run times per age group / gender as well as Best / Most Inspiring / Most Creative / Funniest Social Media picture and video posts.

• WHERE CAN VIRTUAL RUNNERS PICK UP THEIR RUN FOR LIFE T-SHIRTS AND AWARDS? AT LUKE'S LOCKER when the Shelter in Place is lifted andwe are safe to return to business as usual. Exact pick-up date, time & details TBD.

• WHAT ELSE CAN I BE DOING? Stay safe and care for those around you. Please pray for all those impacted in our community, nation and world.
