DALLAS: Council for Life announces that the featured speaker for the 2019 Celebrating Life Luncheon will be Nicole C. Mullen, a Grammy-nominated and multiple Dove award-winning singer and songwriter. Council for Life Board members Jennie Gilchrist and Lisa Luby Ryan, dedicated community leaders who champion countless ministries and organizations, will serve as the Luncheon Co-Chairs. “Securing Nicole C. Mullen is a perfect fit for this year’s theme of Cultivating a Culture of Life. She will undoubtedly help us share our passion and mission,” says Gilchrist. “She brings sincerity, artistry and vulnerability to her music and speaking engagements worldwide,” Ryan added.
Honorary Co-Chairs for this year’s luncheon are long-time business and ministry leaders Jackie and Steve Green of Hobby Lobby and the Museum of the Bible and Anne and Norm Miller of Interstate Batteries.
The 18th annual Celebrating Life Luncheon will be held on October 21, 2019 at the Omni Dallas Hotel. The expansive Dallas Ballroom can easily accommodate what promises to be Council for Life’s largest and most successful event to date.
Council for Life has raised $7.65 million to fund a multitude of agencies in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. These agencies offer invaluable services, including pregnancy resources, adoption, maternity homes, parenting and life skills, counseling, risk avoidance education, mentoring and targeted media campaigns to reach women in unplanned pregnancies.
Proceeds from the Celebrating Life Luncheon will benefit 14 agencies on the “frontline,” actively furthering Council for Life’s mission of empowering women, men and youth to make life-affirming choices. “It is a privilege and honor to work alongside these organizations as we continue to change the conversation and the culture to value every life,” said Cathy Sisk, 2019 President of Council for Life.
