More than 300 businessmen and community leaders attended Council for Life’s “Men Stand for Life Breakfast” at the Dallas Country Club on Tuesday, February 24. Dr. Chauncey Crandall, from Palm Beach, a world-renowned, Yale educated cardiologist was the featured speaker.

Dr. Crandall described his devastation after losing his son to leukemia. “I made a choice not to be bitter. I made a choice to pray.” Crandall said he started slow and small, “praying for one person a month, then one a week.” “Now I travel to the front lines of human suffering and disease around the world to pray and see first hand the glory of God,” he said.“  Addressing a room of men with wide age differences he said “You are not an average business man, why do you want to be an average Christian man?” “Calling on God is the only thing that works.”

Vicki and Dulany Howland served as the event co-chairs.
