Not all grocery stores are created equal.

The grocery store is a time warp. You can spend hours in there and still manage to forget to buy bread. And if you shop on Sunday, you will probably need to go back by Wednesday.

Since you’re spending so much time in the grocery store, you should go to the best place. Last week in Best of BubbleLife, we asked our readers to name the best grocery store in their hometown. Here are the winners:

Market Street

This grocery store won in Allen, Colleyville, Coppell, Frisco and McKinney, so they must give out free samples. Actually, we don’t know that, but Market Street is unlike most grocery stores. It won the Dallas Morning News’ “Top 100 Places to Work in DFW” and recently launched a Go Green for Good initiative.

Central Market

Central Market won in the Park Cities and Southlake, and we’re not surprised. At this store, you will celebrate food again. Dinner doesn’t seem so difficult and healthy food looks delicious, somehow. Even if you can’t cook, you will feel like a French chef at Central Market.

Whole Foods Market

We expected to see Trader Joe’s as the winner in Lakewood, but Whole Foods came out on top. And if you’ve seen Whole Foods’ salad bar, you know why. Despite its nickname, “Whole Wallet,” Whole Foods is the perfect place to find modern necessities: wine, kale chips and chia seeds.
