A few months ago, we listed the best cupcake shops in Dallas-Fort Worth. Now, after last week’s Best of BubbleLife survey, we’ve expanded our list of dessert destinations. Here are the best pastry places in the metroplex, according to our readers.
Piefalootin in Garland
This pie shop “has been known to create a time warp powerful enough to transport grown men back to their grandmother's kitchen.” Piefalootin offers original creations like Boom Choco Latte and Cherry Jalapeno, as well as classics like Apple Crumb and Blackberry Cobbler. Not only do these pies taste delicious, they are beautifully baked and packaged.
Crème de la Cookie in Preston Hollow
Before Crème de la Cookie Founder Toni Rivard opened her shop in Texas, she entered and won several competitions in Orange County, California. Most notably, she won “The Best Chocolate Chip Cookie in Orange County” and gained recognition on ForbesTraveler.com. Rivard promises that her sweets will appeal to the eyes and the taste buds.
Tiff’s Treats in Richardson
Tiff’s Treats began in 1999 when two University of Texas students (one named Tiffany) conceptualized the idea of warm cookie delivery. The founders started with $20, an oven in a college apartment and a dream. Now, Tiff’s Treats is delivering cookies in Dallas, Houston and Austin, where it all began.
