Deborah Lipstadt

The Dallas Holocaust Museum is hosting a special event to discuss the war crimes trial of Nazi Adolf Eichmann in 1961 in Jerusalem, which helped spawn the present-day interest in the Holocaust.

Deborah Lipstadt, a Dorot Professor of Modern Jewish and Holocaust Studies at Emory University, will be giving a lecture and presentation about the trial on its 50th anniversary at 7 p.m. Sept. 8 at Temple Emanu-El.

Lipstadt, who is also the author of a new book titled The Eichmann Trial, will discuss the trial and the impact that the courtroom testimony from Holocaust survivors had on the world.

In addition, sketches of the trial and courtroom that were done by Edward Eichel will be on display during the presentation.

Tickets for the event cost $40 to $75 and can be purchased by calling the Dallas Holocaust Museum at (214) 741-7500. To find out more information, visit the Dallas Holocaust Museum website.
