The Highland Park High School Fine Arts Department will begin performing its first musical of the school year this weekend.

The school will be presenting the musical comedy "Once Upon a Mattress," which is an adaptation of the fairy tale The Princess and the Pea, at 7 p.m. Sept. 10 in the HPHS Large Auditorium.

There will be repeat performances of the musical at 2 p.m. Sept. 11, 7 p.m. Sept. 17 and 2 p.m. Sept. 18.

Tickets are already on sale for the event and are available for purchase at the Fine Arts Box Office on weekdays during school hours and one hour before each performance. Tickets cost $10 for reservered seating and $8 for general admission.
