HPHS vs. Sherman varsity football Highland Park High School cheerleaders lead the football team onto the field during their game against Sherman on Friday night.

The Highland Park High School Scots varsity football team beat Sherman 56-14 on Friday night at Highlander Stadium.

Scots quarterback Brady Burgin completed 24 of 30 passes with no interceptions for a total of 290 passing yards and 5 passing touchdowns. Senior wide receiver William Morris had 11 catches for the Scots, accounting for 118 yards.

The Scots also had a total of 309 rushing yards, which was led by senior running back Preston Miller who had 16 carries for 214 yards and two touchdowns.
