The senior members of the Highland Park High School girls cross country team were honored during a special ceremony on Tuesday.

Upon completing a four mile practice run around White Rock Lake, the seniors were greeted by the younger members of the team and bagpipe music. Coach Jerry Sutterfield then presented each of the graduating seniors with a medallion to commemorate their hard work and participation on the team.

The Lady Scots cross country team will compete in the district championship meet on Thursday morning at Myers Park in McKinney.
