The University Park City Council is gathering for a special, closed-door meeting Thursday to discuss recent developments to the Legacy Hillcrest project.
The meeting was called after Legacy Hillcrest Investments applied for a building permit for an above-ground parking garage that is four-stories tall, while underground parking is mentioned in the most recent plans.
The meeting's agenda says no action will be taken but city officials will receive legal advice about the project from the city's attorney.
If you are unfamiliar with the Legacy Hillcrest project, it is an ongoing debate about whether the Chase Bank located south of Snider Plaza should be allowed to undergo reconstruction that would increase the size of building, which some members of the local community are not very excited about.
