SMU fans will have the opportunity to spend time with the university's football team and coach at a preseason luncheon next month.

The team will be hosting the 2011 Football Kickoff Luncheon at noon on Aug. 17 at the Hilton Anatole Hotel.

SMU Football Coach June Jones and his 2011 squad will be in attendance at the event. The SMU football team had a 7-7 record last season and played in the Bell Helicopter Armed Forces Bowl.

Individual tickets for the event cost $75, but supporters can purchase a 10-person table for $750, which includes tickets for eight and the choice of a player and coach or two players.
