The Southern Methodist University men's basketball team beat cross-Metroplex rival Texas Christian University by a score of 68-62 on Wednesday night in Moody Coliseum.

This victory, which snapped a five-game losing streak for the Mustangs, makes it the first time since 2005-2006 that SMU has beaten TCU in both football and basketball.

The Mustangs now have an 11-13 record for the season and are 2-7 in Conference USA games. SMU's next game is at Rice at 7 p.m. on Saturday.
