Despite losing to Sachse in the first round of the Metro PCS Hoops Invitational tournament last Thursday in Garland, the Lady Scots varsity basketball team won the remainder of their games and claimed first place in the consolation bracket.

In the remaining games of the tournament after the Sachse loss, Highland Park beat Lakeview Centennial by a score of 54-32 at 2:30 p.m. on Friday, Princeton by a score of 44-39 at noon on Saturday, and South Garland by a score 58-42 at 6 p.m. on Saturday.

The Lady Scots varsity squad now has a 10-2 record for the season and will begin district play against the Rockwall Lady Yellowjackets at 7:30 p.m. Friday at Rockwall High School.
