The Lady Scots varsity basketball team lost to the Sachse Lady Mustangs by a score of 28-38 on Thursday in the Metro PCS Hoops Invitational tournament at the Garland ISD Special Events Center.

During the game, Highland Park senior Sydney McDaniel led the team with 9 points. She was followed by Kaitlyn Read who scored 7 points and Alex Reynolds who scored 4 points. Courtney Klingaman, Haylee Anigian-Rios, Amanda Goodwin and Libby Ethington scored the remaining 8 points in the game.

The Lady Scots' next game in the tournament is against Garland Lakeview Centennial at 2:30 p.m. today.
