HP vs. Wylie (Varsity)
The Lady Scots varsity girls basketball team honors the flag before the game.
Highland Park senior Amanda Goodwin scored 16 points for the Lady Scots varsity basketball team on Tuesday, helping them beat the Wylie High School Lady Pirates by a score of 57-47 on Tuesday at Wylie.
Other high scorers in the game for the Lady Scots include Libby Ethington with 12 points, Sydney McDaniel with 10 points, Haylee Anigian-Rios with 8 points, and Courtney Klingaman and Kaitlyn Read with 5 points each.
The Lady Scots now have a 12-3 record for the season, and the team is 2-1 in district play. The squad will be competing next in the DISD Coca-Cola Tournament, and the first game will be against Richardson Berkner at 10:30 a.m. Dec. 27 at Conrad High School.
