The Lady Scots varsity basketball team had a big victory in district play over the Wylie East Lady Raiders on Friday, winning by a score of 71-51 in the main gym at Highland Park High School.

Highland Park senior and team captain Sydney McDaniel was the high scorer for the Lady Scots, making 24 points in the game. She was followed by senior Amanda Goodwin with 18 points, junior Kaitlyn Read with 9 points and senior Libby Ethington with 6 points.

The Lady Scots' next game is another district matchup against Wylie, which will tipoff at 1:30 p.m. Dec. 20 at Wylie High School.
