HP vs. Rockwall (Varsity) Players try to win the tipoff.

Highland Park's varsity girls basketball team has suffered consecutive defeats for this first time this season after losing to the Rockwall Lady Yellowjackets by a score of 40-46 on Tuesday in the HPHS main gym. The Lady Scots lost their previous game to McKinney by a heartbreaking score of 65-68.

In the game against Rockwall, Highland Park's scorers were junior Kaitlyn Read with 14 points, junior Courtney Klingaman with eight points, senior Libby Ethington with six points, and seniors Sydney McDaniel and Amanda Goodwin and sophomore Alex Reynolds with four points each.

The Lady Scots varsity squad (16-7, 4-4) will be looking to get back on track with a win when they take on Wylie East at 7:30 p.m. Friday at Wylie ISD Wylie East High School.
