In preparation for its largest fundraiser, The Family Place, Dallas’ longest-serving family violence agency, is thrilled to announce the launch of its first mobile app for Partners Card, presented by Bank of Texas. The Partners Card app will be available on the App Store and Google Play beginning September 1, 2016.
Through the new app, shoppers can now digitally purchase a $70 Partners Card to receive a 20 percent discount at their favorite retailers and restaurants. There is also an option to add an existing card, eliminating any risk of losing the traditional paper copy, and a retail-sorting feature. Cards purchased or saved through the app will be utilized in the same way as traditional cards, and with the new geo-targeting feature, retailers will still receive credit for any cards sold by the store.
The Partners Card app features:
- Functionality: In addition to buying and storing a Partners Card digitally, shoppers can filter retailers by zip code or category if they don’t have access to a Partners Card directory.
- Geo-targeting: Shoppers can credit a retailer for selling them a Partners Card based on the location at the time of purchase.
- Enhanced learning experience: Information about The Family Place, its mission and services, Partners Card and sponsors will be at shoppers’ fingertips.

Partners Card has become one of the most highly anticipated shopping events in the Dallas Metroplex with participating retailers in Dallas, Arlington, Grapevine, McKinney, Plano, Southlake, Richardson, Frisco, Flower Mound, Addison, Garland, Rockwall and Lewisville. This year, shoppers are invited to Shop Like a Hero during the annual 10-day shopping extravaganza set for October 28 through November 6, 2016. One hundred percent of the proceeds from card sales directly benefit The Family Place and its programs.
