As reported in the Park Cities People last week, competition took a backseat to customer service and friendship as Bibbentucker's Dry Cleaner merged with Turner's Dry Cleaner in Snider Plaza.

Marzella Fox of Turner's Dry Cleaners lost her husband Jay unexpectedly last May.  After 26 years of marriage and 30 years in business, she tried to keep the business going but recently decided a change was in order.

John Palms, CEO of Bibbentuckers Dry Cleaners made her an offer she couldn't refuse.  A long time competitor, Bibbentuckers Snider Plazer location was less than a block away from Turner's Dry Cleaners. Mr. Palms offered a merger of sorts.  Bibbentuckers would service her long-time customers and offer them the same level of service they were used to receiving.  Marzella would work at the Snider Plaza location maintaining a connection with customers whom she now considered friends and family.

Mr. Palms says he has already learned from her customer service skills and close connection with the community. It is something he plans to maintain moving forward.

Diana Griggs, general manager of the Snider Plaza store worked with Marzella closing down the Turner's Dry Cleaner operation.  In that short period of time, she grew close to her and her customers.  All of the Turner's customers have now been transferred to Bibbentuckers where they will be greeted by Marzella in the coming years.
