The sixth annual White Rock Local Market Holiday Extravaganza takes place Saturday, December 6 from 9:00am-4:00pm at Lakeside Baptist Church (9051 Garland Road) and Sunday, December 14th from 9:00am -2:00pm at Vickery Meadow Local Market (Half Price Books at 5803 E. NW HWY). Live entertainment provides by David Burris Group.

 

Showcasing the best artists, farmers and food artisans, the markets are a one stop shop for holiday gift-giving.  Classic Adirondack chairs, natural skin care products, handcrafted jewelry, hand-poured candles, bird-feeders and houses, art, photographs, unique housewares, hair accessories, all natural dog treats, ecofriendly apparel and accessories for kids and adults, handmade ray guns and stuffed animals, repurposed books, vintage bikes and more join more than fifty unique arts and crafts vendors for these special events.

 

Market staples such as Bisous Bisous Patisserie, EMA Baking, Just Pie, Michelle’s Marshmallows, Mom’s Buns Bakery, Village Baking Company, Empire Baking Company, Wackym’s Kitchen, Haute Sweet, Brazos Valley Cheese, Gold Rush Mustard, In a Pickle Foods, Molli Cooking Sauces, Noble Coyote Coffee Roasters will join dozens of other artisans and farmers (depending on availability of produce) for the celebrations. 

 

A vibrant celebration of community and neighborhood, WRLM and affiliate markets strengthen the local food economy and create awareness of the social, environmental, and health benefits of eating local foods.  Artisans, farmers and ranchers are located within 150 miles. WRLM incubates small businesses and provides crucial support to small farmers.  WRLM hosts a community garden as well as workshops and field trips for kids and adults.
