Join Good Local Markets Saturday, May 21st from 11:00am - 12:30pm for the first ever Spring Carrot Contest at Lakeside Baptist Church (9150 Garland Road).  Free to enter, the righteous root is the star of the show with prizes awarded for Best Savory, Best Sweet, and Most Creative.  

Soups. casseroles, breads, desserts, sides and salads, the possibilities are endless.  Tasting tickets available day of for $3 per person. To register your carrot creation go to www.GoodLocalMarkets.org. All ages are welcome to participate.

Good Local Market at Lakeside Baptist Church (9150 Garland Road) is held every Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Vickery Meadow Market is held every Sunday from 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. at 5803 E. Northwest Highway at Half Price Books.  

Good Local Markets is a 501 (c)(3) tax exempt nonprofit organization which supports local farmers, ranchers and artisans by providing a public space to sell fruits, vegetables, cheese, meats, hand-crafted foods and other products while serving thousands of residents looking for healthy and locally sourced foods.    Additionally Good Local Markets offers the Lone Star food stamp program, Love Your Farmer volunteer days, educational programs and workshops.
