Good Local Markets 7th annual Fall Pie Contest will be held Sunday, November 15th 12:30pm - 2:30pm at the Vickery Meadow Market (5803 E. Northwest Highway in the Half Price Books Parking Lot).  Entry fee is $10 per pie.  All pies are available for tasting by the public, who vote on winners in the categories of Fruit, Nut, Chocolate, Cream/Custard, Savory and Youth.  Tasting tickets will be available day of for $5.

Pie crusts and fillings must be homemade.  Winners in each category will receive an official Good Local Markets pie ribbon and custom apron.  To register online, go to www.goodlocalmarkets.org or stop by the Good Local Markets information booth on market days.  DJ Tim Flannery will be spinning music all day.

Good Local Markets is a 501 (c)(3) tax exempt nonprofit organization which supports local farmers, ranchers and artisans by providing a public space to sell fruits, vegetables, cheese, meats, hand-crafted foods and other products while serving thousands of residents looking for healthy and locally sourced foods.    Additionally Good Local Markets offers the Lone Star food stamp program, Love Your Farmer volunteer days, educational programs and workshops.
