Emcee: For the first time ever, The Salvation Army Women’s Auxiliary Fashion Show & Luncheon will have national visibility: Harper’s BAZAAR. Joyann King, Editor of  HarpersBAZAAR.com will be the luncheon emcee.

About: Joyann King, Editor, HarpersBAZAAR.com. As Editor of HarpersBAZAAR.com, Joyann has ushered America's first fashion magazine into an era of digital excellence. She oversees the daily edit of the website and ShopBAZAAR.com, as well as inspires the voice of BAZAAR's social media platforms. She also serves as the editor of BAZAAR's special digital issues, including The Fall Runway Report and The Spring Trend Guide. Joyann can be seen on ABC, NBC, FOX and CBS discussing red carpet trends and the ever-changing relationship of technology and fashion. She was previously an editor at InStyle.com, ELLE.com, Glamour.com and SELF.com. When she's not plugged in, the Texas native can be found scouting New York for the best spicy margarita.

Fashion Show: Gently worn chic fashions in a runway presentation produced by Jan Strimple.

Event Description: The morning begins with reception refreshments, shopping in the Chic Boutique and bidding on silent auction items, some exclusive to this event. Everyone is seated for brief remarks, tributes and a presentation followed by a fabulous runway fashion show produced by Jan Strimple and bidding ensues! Then luncheon is served. 

 

Tickets: Individual tickets begin at $300 and have a limited availability.

               Underwriting begins at $3,000.

About The Salvation Army Women’s Auxiliary: The Dallas Women's Auxiliary is the local expression of a world-wide movement that seeks spiritual redemption and social rehabilitation of those it serves.  It functions as a fundraising and volunteer service group, and have many projects and programs that can satisfy an eagerness to volunteer.

All Executive Committee members and Committee Chairs are volunteers, and there are a variety of ways to serve. Some of our committees include Arrangements, Back to School, mass mailings, Spring Fling, Christmas programs - Angel Tree, Kettles, Distribution and Santa Sacks -- as well as serving as a liaison for our community service programs.

Volunteer activities abound at the Auxiliary. Every year, we fill backpacks with school supplies, gifts and essentials in our Santa Sacks at Christmas, and summer-time necessities for our Camper Care Kits.  There is plenty of work to do at the Angel Tree and Kettles at NorthPark, and distribution of the Angel Tree gifts at The Salvation Army Christmas and Disaster Center.  For those who are into fashion, sorting and pricing donated couture clothing for the annual Fashion Show & Luncheon is great fun (as is attending the Fashion Show!) and working at the WEARhouse after the show.

The ladies of the Women’s Auxiliary have a good time, work hard, and live by the mission of "Doing the Most Good."
