 ies (CPPC)\, a premier day program for adults with disabilities\, is celeb
 rating 10 amazing years\, toasting its donors and volunteers\, on  Septemb
 er 10 th   6pm\,   at Communities Foundation of Texas. \n  \nFounding boar
 d members and co-chairs of this event\, JoAnn Ryan and Nancy Himes\, each
  have an adult child who has attended CPPC since it opened 10 years ago.
   Himes said\, “it’s been an incredible and heartfelt journey to help CPPC
  grow\, to provide an engaging day program and to witness the generous sup
 port of donors and volunteers.” \n  \nRyan and Himes are very grateful for
  the countless hours the CPPC Board Members have given over the years and
  to build CPPC into a thriving\, caring and happy place. \n  \nLocated at
  UPUMC the past 2 years\, and at Central Christian Church the 8 years prio
 r\, Connecting Point of Park Cities serves those with a range of disabilit
 ies from 14 zip codes at an affordable rate and provides an array of educa
 tional and social experiences Monday through Friday\, year-round. \n  \nTh
 e concept of CPPC originated from JoAnn Ryan after her son experienced a d
 ebilitating ski injury in high school and she saw the need for a local pro
 gram as a continuation of the great special needs program at Highland Park
  High School.   \n  \nRyan said\, “It has been an amazing experience to se
 e the community unite to bring CPPC to life. I am truly thankful to everyo
 ne who has contributed to our journey. From those who joined our board in
  the early days and helped shape our model\, to the Kershaw’s who headline
 d our first fundraiser before we even had a staff in place\, as well as al
 l the other celebrities who later lent their support\, along with our gene
 rous donors\, dedicated staff\, volunteers\, parents\, and of course\, the
  incredible teammates who remind us daily why we do this\, it was definite
 ly a community effort. I hope they will join us so we can raise a toast to
