DESCRIPTION:An evening of beautiful sights\, sounds\, wonderful food and fe
 llowship includes a cocktail reception\, live and silent auctions\, seated
  dinner and entertainment. \nAWARE is dedicated to fighting Alzheimer's di
 sease by providing funding and support to programs\, projects\, and resear
 ch provided by nonprofit organizations that actively help individuals affe
 cted by Alzheimer's in Dallas and the greater North Texas area. \nAWARE is
  a component fund of The Dallas Foundation\, a 501 (c) (3) publicly suppor
 ted charity.  In partnership with the Foundation AWARE conducts an annual
  grant review process by which grant applicants are carefully and thoughtf
 ully vetted to ensure that grant dollars are awarded to organizations that
  provide outstanding services to Alzheimer’s patients and their caregivers
 \, and to those research institutions that are at the forefront of medical
  research in the treatment\, prevention\, and cure of Alzheimer’s disease.

 ory Center to provide a trained care navigation specialist on site at the

 inancial planning\, and a 24/7 helpline. \n CASA DE VIDA:   Support for Ca
 sa de Vida \, a program at NorthPark Presbyterian Church giving respite re
 lief to caregivers by providing trained volunteer one-on-one care for indi
 viduals with Alzheimer’s and other dementias. \n CENTER FOR BRAIN HEALTH A
 T UT DALLAS:   Support for production of a series of educational videos\,
  Alzheimer’s Voices: Creating a New Narrative\, distributed worldwide via
  the Center’s YouTube channel\, that will change the conversation about Al
 zheimer’s by communicating a strengths-based approach with testimonials to
  help others navigate a positive path. \n DALLAS ARBORETUM AND BOTANICAL S
 OCIETY:   Support for expansion of the Memory Garden nature program that i
 ncorporates horticulture\, conversations\, and crafts to enrich the life o
 f those affected by Alzheimer’s and other dementias. \n DALLAS MUSEUM OF A
 RT:   Support for Meaningful Moments \, a DMA program designed to provide
  participants with Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias and their famil
 ies or caregivers with ways to engage in art\, providing a continuing cult
 ural opportunity regardless of the abilities. \n EDUCARE:   Support for th
 e annual Compassion Fatigue Symposium designed to educate caregivers about
  compassion fatigue and build resilient professionals and family members c
 aring for individuals with Alzheimer’s and other dementias. \n FOR LOVE AN
 D ART:   Support for Celebrating the Art Experience for Seniors to bring t
 he art experience to people with cognitive impairment and limited mobility
  in long-term care facilities to stimulate art enrichment and memories whi

  to provide in-home mental health counseling\, care management\, and daily
  living support to older adults with Alzheimer’s and other dementias\, all

 IES:   Support for facility dementia care programs\, including the expansi
 on of I’m Still Here \, a six-month intensive dementia care training progr
 am for staff members throughout the Fowler communities. \n PLANO SYMPHONY
  ORCHESTRA:   Support for Healing Notes \, a free music-therapy program ta
 rgeted toward low-income seniors dealing with Alzheimer’s and other dement
 ias.   \n STOMPING GROUND COMEDY:   Support for the Improv for Caregivers
  program\, a therapeutic and psycho-educational workshop that uses improvi
 sational comedy techniques to teach caregivers effective communication ski
 lls that are specific to the needs of Alzheimer’s patients. \n THE SENIOR
  SOURCE:   Support for the Senior Companion Program matching trained volun
 teers with low-income individuals with Alzheimer’s disease and their famil
 ies needing assistance with meals\, errands\, and light housekeeping\, pro
 viding caregivers with respite and/or time to work outside the home.     \
 n TEXAS HEALTH RESOURCES:   Support for the outpatient memory care program
 \, Lifelines\, to provide cognitive stimulation therapy\, a short-term evi
 dence-based intervention for individuals with mild to moderate dementia. \
 n TEXAS WINDS MUSICAL OUTREACH:   Support for the Concerts for Seniors pro
 gram providing interactive concerts in 95 nursing homes and adult day care
  facilities bringing joy\, relief from isolation\, and peace to individual
 s affected by memory loss. \n THE MEADOWS MUSEUM AT SOUTHERN METHODIST UNI
 VERSITY:   Support for the Meadows Museum memory care programs\, Connectio
 ns and Re-connections \, which provide social and emotional support to tho
 se with Alzheimer’s and other dementias\, their caregivers and partners th
 rough engagement with art. \n THE UNIVERSITY OF TEXAS FOUNDATION FOR THE C
 ALLIER CENTER:   Support for research to develop Therabeat \, an easy-to-u
 se and cost-effective mobile application designed to improve the cognitive
  and psychological well-being of Alzheimer’s disease patients. \n THE UNIV
 ERSITY OF TEXAS SOUTHWESTERN MEDICAL CENTER:   Support for a clinical tria
 l research program to determine whether noninvasive brain stimulation (NIB
 S) technology is an effective treatment for patients diagnosed with Alzhei
 mer’s disease and associated memory problems. \n VISITING NURSES ASSOCIATI
 ON OF TEXAS:   Support for the VNA RN nurse navigators to evaluate clients
  of the Meals on Wheels program with a diagnosis of Alzheimer’s and other
